CITADEL SEASON 1-2
Citadel is an American science fiction action thriller television series created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil for Amazon Prime Video, with the Russo brothers acting as executive producers.[2] It stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh respectively, with Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville among the main cast.[3] The six-episode first season premiered on April 28, 2023, with its first two episodes.[4] Critics had mixed opinions on the series.[5]
With a production budget of US$300 million, the six-episode first season ranks as one of the most-expensive television shows. In March 2023, the series was renewed for a second season.[6]
The series will include spin-offs set in the Italian Alps, India, Spain, and Mexico,[3][7][8] and in different languages.[9] The Indian series, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, will be directed by Raj & DK.[10] The Italian series will be co-produced by Amazon Studios and Cattleya, part of ITV Studios.[11][12]
